Scope
The objective of the EAI International Workshop on Satellite Internet Network (SatNet 2023) is to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to present new ideas and contributions in the form of technical papers, panel discussions, and tutorials of ideas in the field of satellite Internet Network. It is intended to bring together various satellite Internet Network developers to discuss the current status, technical challenges, standards, fundamental issues, and future services and applications in the form of technical sessions and tutorials.
SatNet 2023 seeks to address and capture highly innovative and state-of-the-art research from the satellite communications industry. The scope of the workshop includes a wide range of technical challenges in view of the growing interest for satellite access to Internet.

Workshop Organizers
Ming Zhao
Tsinghua University, Beijing, China
Ming Zhao was a professor in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. His research interests include modulation, coding, diversity, MIMO and other processing technologies covering mobile communications and implementation technologies such as RF front-end and software radio. In addition, he is also interested in the open network architecture, virtualization, and intelligence of mobile communications, the autonomous development of wireless networks, and blockchain for the new wireless network. He was awarded as outstanding individual at 863 Fifteenth Anniversary.
Zhili Sun
University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom
Zhili Sun is a Chair Professor of Communication Networking and PGR Director with the Institute for Communication Systems (ICS), Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Surrey. His research interests include IP networking protocols and technologies, satellite communications and networking, Internet and tele-traffic engineering, network security, mobile and wireless communications and mobile operating systems. He has published over 243 papers in international journals and 3 books as author or co-author, including many paper in the IEEE Transactions, journals and magazines. He contributed to standardization activities to ITU-T and ETSI in QoS and IP multicast over satellite.
Publication
All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library.
Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, such as Web of Science, Compendex, Scopus, DBLP, EU Digital Library, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Inspec, and Zentralblatt MATH.
Authors of selected best accepted and presented papers will be invited to submit an extended version to:
- Mobile Networks and Applications (MONET) Journal [IF: 3.077 (2021)]
All accepted authors are eligible to submit an extended version in a fast track of:
- EAI Endorsed Transactions on Scalable Information Systems (Open Access)
- EAI Endorsed Transactions on Internet of Things (Open Access)

Paper submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
- Regular papers should be up to 12-17 pages in length.
- Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.
